Honda RC213V-S – If the rumors are true, Honda would finally be ready to debut its long-awaited superbike, the V4 or RC213V-S, at the next edition of theEICMA in Milan, which will open its doors to the public next Thursday within the backdrop of the Rho fair.

We're not exactly talking about a replacement of the CBR 1000 RR, the Honda RC213V-S is rather an ultra-premium superbike, which could also be the basis of entry into SBK of the Japanese company in 2015. We have waited so long hoping and wishing that Honda could finally release its MotoGP-derived road bike for the masses, but the Japanese company has always disappointed us in this regard, even after the project was confirmed by the Honda CEO Takanobu Ito. The reasons for the delay would concern the sportbike markets in Europe and North America, but the conservatism of Honda itself.

All four manufacturers have always been Japanese reluctant to bring new motorcycles to the market, since the beginning of the recession, and of those few that debuted, almost none have managed to make a big splash. Now it seems that things are changing, see there Kawasaki Ninja H2R track version, which we have already seen, and the road version which will debut at the EICMA 2014 in Milan. What seems certain is that any MotoGP-derived street bike will certainly be an interesting revelation and as such we expect production volume to be incredibly limited. We can't wait to see her.
