AGV celebrates 60 years since the invention of the first fiber helmet

60 years of research in memory of the founder Gino Amisano

60 years have passed since Gino Amisano, expertly manipulating the fiberglass, created the first helmet made of Fiberglass. An intuition derived from the experience accumulated as a saddle maker, from which using the same technique, he derived a basis for a new generation of helmets more robust and lighter. This is how the 160 model was born, with the classic bowl shape, colourful, shiny and with the internal cross that keeps it in place on the head.

From that moment Amisano, father founder of AGV, specializes in the production of helmets for every motorcyclist's need. In a short time it will be the first choice of pilots and all ordinary users. In 60 years of continuous evolution, the Italian company has always carried forward the principles of its Founder, taking as its foundation the security research, combined with a design that is always in step with the times.

But it is with the year 2014 that AGV creates a new range of helmets “AGV EXTREME STANDARDS HELMETS“, based on the concept of “Human engineering“. In practice, helmets are designed starting from the components in contact with the head, gradually reaching the outer shell; the result is reduced dimensions and greater safety.
Further help for designers comes from the use of computerized technologyFEM analysis (Finite Elements Analysis), which allows you to work on the structure of the helmet in an extremely precise and rational way, thanks to the immediate identification of the critical areas. All this goes in the direction of improvement of parameters such as comfort, ergonomics and above all, once again, safety.
