Zero SR: the new technologically advanced and configurable generation [PHOTO]

An electric naked bike evolved from a technological point of view. The new Zero SR, admired on the stand Zero Motorcycles to the last edition of EICMA, the International Two Wheel Exhibition, is about to arrive in Italy and you will soon be able to try it by booking a test ride at the brand's main dealers.

A customizable motorbike

A new chapter begins with a series of models further advanced from a technological point of view, configurable and equipped with an expandable battery.
There are several modes that already offer a customization of the driving experience, choosing between Rain , Eco, Standard, Sport, or through functionality Custom, combining a series of possibilities selectable through the app interface or that of the dashboard.
One of the prominent innovations is the advanced operating system Cypher III +, also present on the new ones SR / F e SR/S for 2022, which allows you to customize performance in a completely new way. Thanks to Cypher Store, by consulting the Zero section of the site or the mobile app, various and interesting additional modes are proposed, including innovative opportunities for battery management.
Along with the possibility of extending the autonomy, the opportunity to receive further features is highlighted, such as the implementation of speed and performance, faster charging, navigation on the dashboard and a parking mode. A proposal that could expand over time through the work of Zero Motorcycles' Research and Development department.

Technical part, motor and battery

Cypher Store updates and new battery technology are part of the various refinements for 2022. Built on the same chassis as SR / F, The new SR It is equipped with an engine ZF 75-10. The developed torque is 166 Nm and the power of 55 kW, translated into a top speed of 167 km/h.

At the same time, the SR will have theAdvanced Bosch Motorcycle Stability Control with "cornering" functionality to the standard ABS, traction control and electronic engine braking control.
The model also features a battery ZF da 14,4+ kWh, the + symbol indicates the possibility of increasing the capacity until reaching 17,3 kWh. It represents an innovation in the e-mobility sector, allowing for greater distances on the bike based on the indications. Starting from this spring, the new enhanced battery can be combined with the power tank, reaching a capacity of just under 21 kWh for a proposed autonomy of 365 km on the urban cycle and 182 km on the motorway, always considering what has been reported.
The new features also include the opportunity to recharge from the public EV network via the Mennekes connector (Type II). Wall Outlet adapters (Type II socket) can be purchased for charging at home, in the office or in any other environment equipped with a standard socket.

In coloring Graphite, Zero SR is offered at 19.880,00 euros. Recommended list price to the public, ex-dealership (VAT included), no road registration.
