Zero Motorcycles: the new FXE presented [PHOTO]

A technological concept, designed to be lively and agile. Shown by Zero Motorcycles the new No FXE, a cutting-edge example with a minimalist, compact and distinctive style.

Design

A futuristic vision that is the result of years of research and development, defined in the vision of Huge Design. The collaboration with Bill Webb, designer of Huge Design, began in 2018 with a custom version of the No FXS. An example that could inspire future Zero creations.
Webb thought of something innovative and feasible on a production level, not just an example of aesthetics. From here we arrived at the new one No FXE.
A motorcycle defined by drawing inspiration from a different context than the motorcycle one: martial arts. We thought in particular about the legendary Bruce Lee, arriving at a concept in which lightness, agility and compact physicality converge.
The new Zero FXE, along with a powerful electric powertrain housed in a slim chassis, features molded parts that reinforce its overall vision as an integrated full color dashboard, as well as connotative type lights LED . The symbiosis between aesthetics and technology stands out with a functional ergonomics study and an analysis of the touch-points, usually used in the creation of the technology "wearable", as mentioned. The saddle is placed at a height of 836 millimeters.

Technique and technology

The specimen is equipped with an engine ZForce 75-5 and a proprietary Cypher II operating system. The Z-Force® thruster has a permanent magnet (IPM) configuration, a compact brushless unit that has no need for a liquid or forced air cooling system.
The maximum power is 34 kW at 4.300 rpm and the torque of 106 Nm, thrust to be evaluated against a weight of 135 kg, reaching a maximum speed of 137 km/h, according to the indications. The maximum capacity of the battery pack amounts to 7,2 kWh and a charging time with Zero Rapid Charger (1 kW) of up to 95% of 3,6 hours is reported. We also note a minimum charging time: 1,30 hours.
The Cypher Operating System II works as a hub for the integration of all systems. This offers a varied range of customizations and tracking via Zero apps and allows you to monitor and provide useful data.

Proposal

The new No FXE it is also available in a weakened version from 11 kW and will be in Italian Zero Motorcycles dealers starting from September 2021. The indicated price is 13.990 euros, VAT included.
