The American brand Zero Motorcycles e Integrated Micro-Electronics Inc. (IMI), a company present in the Philippines that deals with electronic production services, announce a strategic partnership. According to the partnership, the Asian country company will produce Zero Motorcycles models or pre-assembled modules in its factory in Laguna, Philippines. An activity carried out in collaboration with Zero's production facilities located in California. The pre-assembled modules and motorcycles supplied by IMI will be targeted at Zero customers and dealers globally, particularly in the European and Asian markets.

A strategic partnership

The Laguna plant in the Philippines will play a role in the expansion of Zero Motorcycles globally and will support the reduction of Co2 emissions and the promotion of sustainable transport, also increasing market share.
Series production is expected to start in the second quarter of this year with an integrated program, using the ability to assemble motorcycles combined with the effort to develop certain components on site.
Production includes the complete assembly of motorcycles, but also partial and modular ones, on which the Zero production teams will subsequently work by adding the complex battery and electronics of the vehicle. Among the potential partners taken into consideration, only IMI was found to have experience in the production of electronics and assembly of motorcycles in the same location. IMI's parent company, Ayala Corporation (AC Industrials), has repeatedly highlighted its commitment to environmental sustainability, a sign that this collaboration with Zero can probably lead to others in the future, as reported.
