Zero Motorcycles, the world leader in electric motorcycles and electric powertrains designed and handcrafted in California, recently announced the release of a new model exclusively for the European market (preview photo): the Zero DSR – Black Forest Edition. Designed exclusively for European consumers, the new model has been developed to meet the growing demand of motorcycling enthusiasts looking to go on a full electric tour and targets motorcyclists looking for electric on- and off-road riding experiences.

La Zero DSR – Black Forest Edition It offers the longest range of any electric Dual-Sport on the market today, leveraging battery technology with the best power and energy density in the EV sector. The optional package includes the new Zero Charge-Tank, which allows travellers, with a single charge, to enjoy a tour through nature in absolute silence, with a range of 262 km in the urban cycle, over 200 in extra urban and 126 km on the highway at constant speed. The ZERO DSR Black Forest Edition is currently on paper the electric motorcycle with the greatest autonomy on the market. The new rapid charger, in fact, recharges the battery at three times the speed and adds up to 152 km of autonomy for every hour of connection to the network. This combination of faster charging is what makes electric touring possible. Motorcyclists will also be able to take advantage of the vast and growing network of Level 2 charging stations across Europe.

La Zero DSR Black Forest Edition offers an impressive torque of 146 Nm without the use of clutch or gearbox thanks to the engine Z-Force® with Zero direct drive. Additionally, performance can be customized using theZero mobile app (created to meet your needs and customize the level of experience for a wide range of motorcyclists). Noteworthy standard equipment sees this new model specifically developed and oriented towards adventure, including a series of accessories and options, including a set of premium integrated suitcases. The equipment included in the price includes a choice between various kits and accessories that can also be purchased separately: Charge Tank (Optional quick charger), Side and rear cases in black aluminium, Touring windshield, Comfort seat, Protection bars, Additional LED lights (for off-road use only), Headlight protection grille (for off-road use only).

La Zero DSR Black Forest Edition will be produced in limited quantities and can be purchased at selected retailers and authorized Zero Motorcycles dealers starting from April 2018.
