Officine Italiane Zard: presented a new slip-on exhaust for the Harley-Davidson Grand American Touring range

The signed proposal was extended Officine Italiane Zard for the models Harley-Davidson®. After the solutions for the new generation of Sportster S 1250 and Pan America 1250, the brand introduces the exhausts for the range Grand American Touring.




The new Zard

Il slip-on exhaust system for Harley-Davidson® Grand American Touring It is compatible with models equipped with 114 cubic inch drive units. Assembly does not require any upgrade of the engine control unit, as reported. The solution is immediately available and can be ordered on the portal linked to the Grand Piedmontese.

Aesthetics and performance are defined together and the new Zard slip-on system for the Harley-Davidson® Grand American Touring range has been developed to highlight the characteristic sound of the Milwaukee V-Twin, without distortions.

Moving on to performance, theincrease in power results from 2,2 horses and that of the copy of 6,9 Nm, with approval Euro 5. A Racing version is also available, without approval. The weight amounts to 7,8 kg, a weight saving compared to the original of approximately 0,3 kg, according to the information.
The configuration, as mentioned, is of the slip-on type, with two twin terminals developed by hand in AISI 304 stainless steel and completed by the aluminum end cap machined from solid wood.

The mufflers are compatible with the original manifolds and are finished in matt black, a finish obtained through a Cerakote paint that guarantees resistance to high temperatures up to 1000°. The bottoms are cut obliquely keeping in mind the bags and the rear mudguard. A distinctive design with CNC machining and the Zard logo laser-embossed and visible on the top.
