Yamaha YZF-R1 2015, the first official photos

It will be one of the protagonists of EICMA 2014

Yamaha YZF-R1 2015  - The first official photo of the 1 Yamaha YZF-R2015 was leaked a few hours after the opening of the gates of the seventy-second edition of theEICMA in Milan. Today will be press day and from Thursday two-wheel enthusiasts will be able to enjoy all the new models presented by the world's most important motorcycle manufacturers for four days.

The two images of the 1 Yamaha YZF-R2015 superbike show fluid and sinuous lines, evidently deriving from its sister who competes in the MotoGP world championship, the YZR-M1. The LED headlights follow the trend orchestrated by its Italian rival, the Ducati, which last night staged the World Première of its new 2015 range, which featured the 1299 Panigale and the Multistrada 1200, the wheels are narrower and more enigmatic, thus also losing a bit of aggression. The new model from the Japanese company should arrive in two setups, one for the road and the other for competitive use.

The 1 Yamaha YZF-R2015 confirms the four-cylinder in-line engine which it is said to be capable of delivering more than 200 HP, it will have a dual clutch transmission and with a full load of petrol it will lose 199 kg. The exhaust manifold under the engine looks huge, so it will be interesting to see or rather hear how the new R1 will sound at full speed. Among the new features are the intake ports, the new valves, the cylinders, the forged aluminum pistons with Diamond Like Carbon coating axle and, last but not least, the new bidirectional injectors. While waiting to see it live, we enjoy this moment, that of seeing Yamaha awake again and above all at play in the world of two wheels.
