Yamaha is focusing a lot on the XTZ 1200 Super Ténéré, new for 2011, which for the occasion of the Motodays which opens its doors today, has been available in two different versions. One, the Yamaha XTZ 1200 Super Ténéré, which will be valorised for its qualities as a tireless tourer, through one of the dreams of many motorcyclists, namely the ride of the world in motion. It will be created by Davide Biga from Cuneo, who after having had the opportunity to be one of the first motorcyclists in the world to ride the Yamaha twin-cylinder, decided that the XTZ 1200 Super Ténéré will be the motorbike with which he will travel over 80.000 km to tour the streets of all continents. Biga's adventure will start from Mondovì (CN) in mid-May and will continue for about a year.

At Motodays there will also be another special version of this Yamaha: the XTZ 1200 R Super Ténéré, created by equipping the basic version of the twin-cylinder with details designed for maximum off-road effectiveness: Ohlins suspension by Andreani, braided brake hoses by Braking , handlebars in Avional by Tommaselli, raised racing saddle, Akrapovic exhaust, headlight protection, oversized aluminum engine guard, racing license plate holder and a Diapason Racing control unit, which gives the powerful twin-cylinder 10 hp more distributed over the entire delivery curve and a torque truly explosive.

A racing configuration that reduced the final weight of the Yamaha XTZ 1200 Super Ténéré by 23 kg. The racing version will be the bike with which the enduro rider, Francesco Catanese from Bologna, will race in his next competitive commitments, especially the World Rally Championship of Sardinia 2011, expected in May.
