Yamaha XSR900 wins the “BEST OF THE BEST” award at the 2017 Red Dot Award

Yamaha announces the victory, in the world-famous Red Dot Award 2017 competition, of its 'innovation.

The title, obtained for the third time following the victory in 2015 of the Hyper Naked MT-07 and the JWX-2 assist-t electric power unit for wheelchairs, therefore constitutes further confirmation of Casa Iwata's leadership in the design and creation of products which, thanks to their style and performance, respond to the needs and, above all, satisfy the desires of the public. A jury, made up of over 40 internationally renowned experts, decreed that among the 5.000 "candidate" products, XSR900 was the only one to meet the high-quality design and top-level performance characteristics required by the prestigious qualification.

The stylish three-cylinder, designed to satisfy the most advanced markets, perfectly reflects the heritage of the Japanese brand and its continuous evolution in the search for new and unprecedented stylistic and construction techniques. The pure and essential lines of the XSR900, combined with the latest technological specifications, guarantee first-class results and ensure, at the same time, a unique driving pleasure. A true style icon that inevitably gives its owner a deep sense of pride.

However, the Red Dot Award jury is not the first to have noticed the extraordinary character of the Faster Sons three tuning forks. The “Best of the Best” award, in fact, is the fifth title achieved after the victory, between 2016 and 2017, of the “Best 100 Of Good Design”, of the “Auto Color Award 2016 Special Prize”, of the “JIDA Design Museum Selection Vol.18″ and the “iF Design Award”, all coveted recognitions that have given the XSR900 the record as the Yamaha vehicle with the most design-related awards.
