Yamaha XSR700 and XSR900 – With their retro look and reference to historic and iconic classic models, Yamaha's Sport Heritage range continues to enjoy success.

"Never change a winning team". This is what they probably thought at the headquarters of the three-tuning house when they found themselves thinking about future Sport Heritage models, knowing the extraordinary sales figures of recent years: 11.000 registrations of the XSR700 alone between 2015 and 2017, which made it one of the most successful models in its category, while 7.500 motorcyclists have purchased the bigger sister XSR900 since its debut in 2016.

Mind-boggling numbers that have convinced the Iwata company to expand sales of the "small" also in America.

Given the success, revolutionizing a winning product would have been risky, so for 2018 Yamaha presented the new XSR700 and XSR900 with a completely new look, but leaving the substance unchanged.

The Obviously there is no shortage of classic vintage references, such as the round-inspired headlight and rear lights and the double textured saddle.
The main innovation is found, as already anticipated, in the new graphics: Brilliant Red, which pays homage to that of the 2 XS1972 model. 46 years have passed since the first use of these iconic graphics and, thanks to this new colour, the 700 evokes the spirit of the first front-facing twin-cylinder with three tuning forks.

The Like its younger sister, it features vintage-inspired headlights and rear lights. The XSR900 will be available with the new Racing Red livery reminiscent of the graphics used on the original XS115 from the 3s.

The new colors will join the already known ones.
