Yamaha XMAX 125: Euro 5 single-cylinder engine and new colors for 2021

Yamaha XMAX 125, for the 2021, features an engine that complies with the regulations Euro 5 and new colors are proposed also considering the specimen XMAX 125 TechMAX.

Highlighted is a refined stability with different dimensions, taking into account a wheelbase of 1.570 millimeters and a greater ground clearance from 140 mm. The rear suspension travel lengthened by 15 mm overall is functional 90 mm and in particular the curb weight reduced by 9 kg, obtaining a figure of 166 kg according to the instructions. A factor that promotes greater dynamism, as well as being less burdensome when parking.
The sporty design includes dual front lights LED and rear light always LED, also note a new color Icon Gray together with the Sonic Gray.
The overview lists: a Smart Key solution, windshield adjustable in two positions, saddle with backrest for the rider, compartment for two full-face helmets, disc brakes with ABS and a 12 V socket for charging and powering devices. There are also matching accessories.
The scooter is equipped with a renewed 124 cc (124,66 cc) Euro 5 Blue Core engine. A unit equipped with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technology and a specific camshaft that refines its efficiency to obtain a superior torque at different speeds and, as indicated, offering faster acceleration at medium-low rpm.

According to information released, the VVA system allows an increase in fuel economy of 11%, consuming 2,4 litres/100 km. Furthermore, a new Start & Stop system is highlighted which reduces both emissions and fuel-related costs and with Start & Stop active, fuel consumption is reduced to 2,3 litres/100 km, always reporting the information disseminated.
Moving on to the scooter XMAX 125 TechMAX together with a new one Power Gray in addition to the alternative Tech Camo, we mention new grip ends by Gilles Tooling, a new Frost Silver graphic on the fork cover, anodized rider footpegs, a Tech MAX emblem, a saddle with premium finishes and colored stitching, then an internal padding and matching colored stitching.
The Yamaha XMAX 125 and XMAX 125 Tech MAX models will be offered at Yamaha dealers starting from March 2021.
