Yamaha XJ6: restyling operation

The formula is one that has attracted riders of all ages and all skill levels: the first and only entry level with a 600 cc 4-cylinder engine, for easy and linear delivery, but real motorbike fun. Yamaha XJ6 it is in fact now a cult for motorcyclists from all over Europe, because it combines ease of riding with technologies "stolen" from MotoGP and an aggressive and contemporary look. An idea that did not need to be revolutionized, but simply perfected. This is the reason for the changes planned for 2013, designed to improve the style and functionality of the smallest of the 4-cylinder 3-tuning naked bikes.

New side panels for an even more fluid line

One of the most obvious changes concerns the new side panels, which now integrate even better into the overall design of the bike, creating a single movement around the tank. Being a naked bike, with a minimal number of components, it is clear that the new side panels attract attention, giving the charismatic Yamaha XJ6 my 2013 a slimmer and more "streamlined" profile. The new design also emphasizes the movement of the masses forward, to accentuate the already bold and dynamic image of the model.

New front headlight “fairing”.

An ideal aesthetic complement for the new side panels, the new "fairing" of the headlight lightens the front section of the motorbike. Together with the other changes introduced for the new season, it enhances the sporty character and agility of an always fun naked bike.

New grab handles for the passenger

The rear handle for the passenger has also been redesigned: the new solution includes two handles, one for each side of the saddle, to significantly improve the functionality and comfort of the passenger. The upward curvature of the handles is progressively accentuated, to ensure the passenger has a secure grip and give the rear of the motorbike a more slender and lighter appearance.

The new saddle cover responds to the need to guarantee more sensitivity to the rider and greater appeal, improving grip and riding comfort.

Transparent turn signal lenses

The turn signal lenses become transparent. Yet another detail designed to underline the sporty and captivating personality of XJ6 my 2013.

Instrumentation with LED backlighting

Another important improvement is in the instrumentation, which does not change the shape and design of the previous version, but improves clarity and readability, thanks to the new LED backlighting and superior contrast.

Among minor changes, the black graphics on the fuel cap, and the chain position indicator, located on the rear wheel chain tensioner to make adjustment easier and more accurate.
