Yamaha Tri City 125 – Zig Zag Scooter Sharing made its debut in Rome, supported by Yamaha Motor Europe – Italy Branch. We start immediately with 200 Tricity 125s deployed to guarantee urban travel in a simple and economical way, soon arriving at a complete fleet of 450 vehicles.

Yamaha Tricity 125, which can also be driven with only a B driving licence, represents the ideal vehicle to satisfy the need for easy handling and stability on the always treacherous and busy urban routes. The idea of Zig Zag Scooter Sharing was born a year and a half ago from a real need, felt by the two founders, to move dynamically around a city and in particular on the challenging "cobblestones" like those of Rome. "We have had a sharing project in mind for some years and, once we received Smartventure's collaboration proposal, we wanted to be there with enthusiasm, because Yamaha takes care of people's needs and wants to improve their lives, not only with products , but also with the systems of use.” commented Andrea Colombi, Country Manager Yamaha Motor Europe – Italy Branch. “Tricity 125 is a three-wheeled scooter that anyone, with a B license, can drive with peace of mind, having as its strong point the combination of easy and intuitive driving and the stability of the 3 wheels. We believe it is the best solution to the problem of the shape of our roads, Rome in particular, where every day the challenge is not only dictated by traffic, but also by overcoming cobblestones, potholes and rails. In this regard, I am sure that the new administration will certainly make this atavistic problem of our splendid capital its own."

The Zig Zag project is accessible to all those in possession of an Italian A or B driving license and to foreigners arriving in Rome and having a driving license issued by Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Russia , Spain, Switzerland, USA. The procedure to use the service is simple. In fact, all you need to do is register for free on the website www.zigzagsharing.com or via the App, initially available for Android and IOS. After booking the Tricity 125 closest to your location and reaching it, you enter the PIN which unlocks the saddle, under which you can remove both the helmet and the hygienic and disposable balaclava. Each vehicle is equipped with two helmets. Zig Zag scooter sharing provides three different types of rental rates: per minute equal to €0,29, hourly equal to €14,90 and daily equal to €59,00. Reservation is free.
