The new Yamaha Tricity 125 is powered by a latest generation Euro 5 engine with Yamaha's Blue Core technology which reduces emissions to a minimum and VVA technology (Variable Valve Actuation) which supports good acceleration.
Among the interesting aspects is also a new system Stop & Start designed to turn off the engine when the vehicle is stationary and automatically restart it when the accelerator is pressed. Efficiency is monitored by Starter Generator Control Unit (SGCU) to 32 bit which constantly follows driving conditions and prevents frequent stops and starts, when in traffic for example. The new Smart Motor Generator system uses the crankshaft directly, as indicated. We report a power of 9,0 kW at 8.000 rpm and can be driven even with a B driving licence.
Moving on to the most powerful tricity 155, similar aspects but also differences are highlighted, such as the braking system which, together with 220 mm and 230 mm disc brakes, includes ABS, therefore a parking brake and an engine which is also of the Blue Core type, Euro 5 approved but slightly bulkier 155 cc, 4-stroke and liquid-cooled. The power is equal to 11,1 kW at 8.000 rpm.
The proposal of original accessories for the Tricity 125 and Tricity 155 is varied, opting between windshields, suitcases or other, as well as casual clothing solutions suitable for those who ride the Tricity 125 and Tricity 155. The new Yamaha Tricity 125 and Tricity 155 can dress two new colors: Petrol Blue e Sand gray. The models are also offered in Matt Gray.
