Yamaha TMAX 530 wins the 2012 Red Dot Award

In addition to the sales successes which have consistently seen it as the best-selling two-wheeler in Italy since the beginning of the year, Yamaha T MAX 530 has today won an important international recognition: the “Red Dot Award 2012” for design, an award unanimously recognized as one of the most prestigious in the sector. Suffice it to say that this year the category “Product design” saw the participation of well 4.515 products, a further concrete recognition of the consideration given to this competition.
Yamaha T-MAX 530 was evaluated by a jury of 30 members, design experts from all over the world. The Yamaha maxi scooter it was entered in an extremely competitive category, which included cars, means of transport, commercial vehicles and boats.

The award “Product Design 2012” will be presented to an international audience, and then TMAX 530 will be exhibited at the design museum "Red Dot” in Essen, Germany, within a special exhibition dedicated to the winners of the award.
Born in the 50s, the “Red Dot Award” is divided into three sections relating to design: product, communication and concept. In 2011, 14.000 participants from 70 countries competed for the awards. Since its birth, more than half a century ago, the “Red Dot Award” has progressively established itself as one of the most important international awards for the quality of design.
