Yamaha, “Ténéré Spirit – Ténéré Challenge”: a passion for competition and exploration

Yamaha Tenere 700 it is a model that attracts the attention of adventure enthusiasts and recalls historical models that were protagonists in raids. The Ténéré Spirit represents a program that will convey all possible experiences in the saddle Tenére 700, within a dedicated area on the official Yamaha Italia portal, as reported.

Ténéré Challenge

The competitive part of “Ténéré Spirit” will be the “Ténéré Challenge”, the definition of a category dedicated to the twin-cylinder model in the Italian Motorally Championship, sponsored by the Italian Motorcycle Federation, with specific and simplified regulations to allow an experience that can be enjoyed even by those less experienced in rallying.
The intent is to recall the sporting spirit, the aforementioned "Ténéré Spirit" that affects the world around this specimen. For this reason, a special ranking is foreseen in which the points won by the drivers who indicate their reference dealer when registering for the Ténéré Challenge will be considered. A challenge that at the end of the season will also establish the TOP Dealer at a national level, according to the indications.
The multiple champion Alessandro Botturi is the ambassador of the trophy and, in addition to participating in the competition for the first time on a specially prepared Ténéré 700, he will represent a point of reference for preparing for the stages given his great experience.
Each registered rider will be followed by the organization dedicated to the Yamaha trophy, accompanied by the registration process and during the competitions, to ensure that even those less experienced in rally activities can enjoy an interesting experience. Five tests are scheduled from March to September in different Italian locations. The races are played over two days, Saturday and Sunday, while preliminary operations are scheduled for Friday. You can only access it by riding the new one Tenére 700, from the reported my 2019, pilots must also have FMI competitive license.

Two classes listed:

– Ténéré Pro Class, reserved for the most experienced pilots who will follow the standard race route and navigate with a paper road book.
– Ténéré GPX class for non-professional pilots, who will follow a dedicated route and navigation with GPX track on electronic devices with specific navigation application.

At the end of the season, as indicated, the top three classified in the two categories will be guests of Yamaha at the Swan Rally scheduled in Sardinia between 28 September and 2 October.
