The third edition of the Ténéré Challenge within the 2023 Italian Motorally Championship. The single-brand championship for drivers of Yamaha Tenere 700, sponsored by the Italian Motorcycle Federation, will be characterized by a Ténéré Challenge ranking extrapolated from the general ranking of the Italian GPX Motorally Championship, the official category and class for multi-cylinder motorcycles with units larger than 599 cc. Then confirmed Ténéré Discovery, scheduled every Saturday in the Motorally calendar.

The news

Il Challenge is divided into TC-Pro classes e TC-GPX. The first concerns the more experienced pilots, engaged on the traditional race route navigating with a paper road book. The ranking is extrapolated from the CIMR G1000 category. The second is reserved for non-professional pilots on a specific route, navigating with the GPX track on electronic systems. In this case the ranking is taken from the CIMR GPX category.
Each event is made up of two or three races, allowing you to participate in just one session. The complete rules of the Ténéré Challenge can be consulted online and to register you must download and fill in a registration form. The form must be sent to the organizational secretariat, attaching a photocopy of your IMF card.
Registration for the Italian Motorally Championship races in the G1000 and GPX classes must then be completed by logging into the SIGMA computer system for each event in which you intend to participate and paying the registration fee to the Organizer. Registrations for the Italian Motorally Championship races are closed approximately 8 days before the challenge, as specified.
Members must possess the FMI competitive license which can be requested from an FMI affiliated Moto club or through the Ténéré Challenge secretariat, as indicated. The permitted licenses are: Off-road, Off-road Elite, Off-road One event, Off-road extension of the Speed ​​licence. Riders with an Elite license can only register for the TC-Pro Class.
An interesting experience promises to be an interesting experience for the participants within a format aimed at the pilots of the Ténéré Challenge. Also expected at the Motorally Yamaha Official Team with Alessandro Botturi and Niccolò Pietribiasi, winner of the last edition. Together with the two also the new entry Angelo Tazzari, a young bLU cRU driver, highlighted in the world of Motorally thanks to the Ténéré Challenge with which he began competing. He wears Yamaha colors in the GPX category. The Team, together with the competition, supports the participants and supports them with suggestions, advice and sharing the same passion.
As mentioned, after the good results of last season, the Ténéré Discovery scheduled every Saturday of the Motorally calendar. An initiative designed to give the various participants an engaging experience (the registration channels are the same as the Ténéré Challenge), allowing them to get closer to the world of off-roading to also enjoy the atmosphere of the competition. Members can test their skills on a course created for the occasion, followed by qualified instructors. It is not necessary to have an FMI License, as highlighted.
