EICMA 2018 Yamaha – After the presentation of the prototype of the Ténéré 700 World Raid, Yamaha takes advantage of the EICMA 2018 showcase to officially launch the 'adventure bike'.

Last year the prototype of the Ténéré 700 was entrusted to the Official Yamalube Yamaha Rally team to be tested under extreme conditions. After a year of work and development, the bike that promises to stop at nothing is ready to be launched on the market.

Technical features. At Yamaha they are keen to do things big and their objective is 'only' to make the Ténéré 700 a sort of new guide in the Adventure sector. The bike is powered by a 689 cc twin-cylinder, the CP2 already seen on the MT-07, which promises full-bodied and linear power delivery that adapts to all conditions, both on road and off-road, with a maximum torque of 6500 rpm not yet officially declared (should be around 75 HP). From a chassis point of view, the entire structure is made of double cradle steel. The suspension department is characterized by an upside-down fork with 210 mm travel and 43 mm stanchions, while at the rear there is a remotely adjustable monocross and 200 mm of travel. Compact and multi-function rally-style instrumentation. ABS can be deactivated.

The new Ténéré 700 will be available in the colours: Ceramic Ice, Competition White and Power Black. It will be on sale in summer 2019.
