It is characterized by peculiar aspects such as an enduro-style and color-matched front mudguard, as well as a ground clearance of 260 millimeters, 20 mm higher than the Ténéré 700. The ergonomic saddle is flat, with the addition of sponge for a further 20 mm the figure reaches a height of 910 mm. The titanium footrests for the rider also provide high grip, with a 35% increase in support surface.
Also highlighted is a radiator guard and aluminum chain guide, as well as an optional 5-inch TFT screen with three themes and a "Rally roadbook" style screen.
From a technical point of view, there is a KYB front fork with 43 mm Kashima treatment and the wheel travel is 230 mm, 20 mm more than the Ténéré 700. The rear KYB piggyback mono is fully adjustable and the wheel travel is also in this case 20 mm higher than the Ténéré 700, reaching 220 mm.
The second model is aimed at passionate motorcyclists who like to travel for long distances. This is a motorbike equipped with a windshield whose surface is increased by 50% for superior protection. Furthermore, there is a frame for side bags as standard with the opportunity to choose original hard or soft Yamaha side bags, which can be purchased separately. Among the contents stand out a 43 mm KYB fork with a wheel travel of 190 mm and a remotely adjustable rear mono with wheel travel of 180 mmIn any case, the values ​​are 20 mm lower than Ténéré 700.
The saddle is placed at a low height of 860 mm to allow the motorcyclist to climb easily, a figure 15 mm lower in comparison with the Ténéré 700, furthermore the example is equipped with a quick change.
