After a four-year hiatus the Yamaha R1 Cup will therefore once again be the protagonist with a dedicated grid in the CIV - Italian Speed ​​Championship, under the management of MotoXRacing, a company specialized in the organization of trophies on a national scale and, from next year, also the Official Yamaha Team in the STK1000 World Championship, and EMG Eventi. The renewed flagship store, open to all age groups and with a grid of 42 seats available, is dedicated to all owners of the new Yamaha YZF-R1 and YZF-R1M. The official return of the Yamaha R1 Cup to the highest expression of two-wheel racing at a national level will start from Misano Adriatico on 18-20 March, with days dedicated to the first tests.

The 1 Yamaha R2016 Cup prize pool is substantial with a total value of over 20.000 euros. The winner of the general classification will receive a Yamaha MT-07, the 2nd place will receive a Yamaha Xenter, while whoever takes the third step of the podium will take home a Yamaha Aerox 50cc. Also up for grabs are several passes to watch the MotoGP and WSBK races on national territory.

The versions of YZF-R1 and YZF-R1M admitted to the championship will be exclusively the 2015 and 2016 model years in stock configuration. Registration for the trophy includes a special 10% discount on the purchase of a new motorbike from Official Yamaha Dealers.
