From the EICMA 2017 we offer you a closer look at what is undoubtedly the most "revolutionary" innovation present at the Milanese motorcycle event: the Yamaha Nike.

We are talking about a motion that overturns conventions by presenting itself as first three-wheeled motorcycle. Configuration, that of the two wheels at the front, which we have already seen on scooters but which is an absolute novelty as far as motorbikes are concerned.

The Yamaha Niken, whose Milanese debut was inaugurated by Valentino Rossi, presents itself with a peculiar design where the style is influenced by the three-wheel structure with tLeaning Multi-Wheeler technology, clearly visible on the outside of the motorbike. It is a vehicle which, according to what was declared by the company of the three tuning forks, guarantees high traction and great stability when cornering, with a lean angle of up to 45°, even in conditions of poor grip.

The double front wheel of the Niken is a plus not only for the safety of those in the saddle but also for their riding enjoyment. To create the Niken, Yamaha developed a completely new frame on which it had to completely redesign the chassis and the various components, with a view to a totally different weight distribution and proportions compared to a classic two-wheeled motorcycle.

An already known Yamaha engine was mounted on the hybrid frame, which mixes steel (main beam) and aluminum (swingarm pivot), let's talk about the 847 cc liquid-cooled three-cylinder, the same as the MT-09 which however has been revised and modified to optimize its performance on a completely new and different vehicle configuration.

With an 18 liter tank and a range of approximately 300 kilometres, the Yamaha Niken is equipped with advanced technological equipment which, among other things, includes: cruise control, Traction Control System, electronic accelerator, three maps, anti-hopping clutch and Quick Shift system. The Yamaha Niken will be launched on the market in the first half of next year.
