Yamaha MT-125 2020: the renewed example shown [PHOTO]

Revised and technological appearance. The new Yamaha MT-125, introduced by the Japanese company, appears bold.

Naked streamlined and compact

This new specimen driven by a unit of 125 cc the renewal follows MT-03, another piece in the varied panorama MT di HyperNaked of Iwata which ranges up to 1000 cc.
The design of the light clusters is distinctive LED in configuration twin eye, with an additional monobloc headlight underneath. A configuration that accentuates the refined, articulated and sporty image of the naked, also characterized by instrumentation with a negative view, hosted by a screen LCD multifunction developed horizontally. The bike is long 1.960 millimeters with wheelbase of 1.325 mm (more compact than 30 mm to the previous one), wide 800 mm is tall 1.065 mm, with a minimum value from the ground amounting to 140 mm. The saddle height is 810 mm, while the reported curb weight is 140 kg. The tank can accommodate 10 liters of fuel, always referring to the indications on the model.

Cycling and technique

The vision follows the principles of “mass forward” which characterizes the overview MT, noting the connected tank and the compact and extended tail, which suggest a certain dynamism. The motorbike features a frame delta box and the chassis is made up of an upside down front fork 41 millimeters (excursion from 130 mm), as well as an aluminum swinging rear swingarm with rear travel from 114 mm. Among the other interesting aspects: the revised steering geometry, a braking system that includes a front disc brake 292 mm combined with radial caliper and another rear hydraulic disc from 220 mm; therefore a generous rear tire from 140 mm, always following the directions. The overview of accessories is varied, also remembering the dedicated apps for virtually configuring a specimen and managing different data: MyGarage e My Ride.

Motor

The single-cylinder propulsion unit a 4 times da 124,7 cc liquid-cooled, SOHC characterized by a sophisticated variable valve system (VVA) with double intake cam (the lower one acts up to 7.400 rpm), delivers 15 horses of maximum power (11 kW) a 9.000 rpm and a maximum torque equal to 11,5 Nm a 8.000 rpm. Linked to the engine is an anti-slipper clutch (A&S) functional while driving and a transmission that is always in gear 6 marches.
