yamaha Motor show to Venice Boat Show a series of innovative solutions, ranging from Harmo electric outboard thruster, until e-bike motor. Also highlighted is the Italian preview of the electric scooter NEO's and the scooter concept E01, an example “equivalent to a 125 cc endothermic”.

An innovative vision of mobility

The review is scheduled 28 from May to June 5 2022. The specimens on display represent a new vision of mobility for Yamaha Motor, furthermore the city of Venice, a UNESCO site and World Heritage Site, represents an ideal place when it comes to sustainability. A laboratory where this type of innovation can be evaluated.
The new electric course Yamaha Motor is called Switch on, a program launched by Yamaha Europe in March. In Venice it is possible to observe an overview of the low environmental impact solutions signed by the manufacturer.
In particular, at the Venice Boat Show there is the Italian premiere of the new scooter NEO's, an agile and technological example of the electric type. NEO's is characterized by a minimalist aesthetic with rounded features and covered in elegant paints. Interaction is facilitated by Yamaha's MyRide app and the Communication Control Unit (CCU), using a QR code or VIN number. It also features LCD instrumentation, through which you can also observe the charge levels of the batteries, the main one and the optional secondary one.
A compact scooter equipped with a new frame made up of a solid and functional structure to create space to store objects, or facilitate the daily use of accessories such as a smartphone holder or other. The saddle is placed at a height of 795 millimeters and the positioning of the battery under the saddle favors space, as indicated previously. The new Yamaha NEO's features a latest generation Yamaha Integrated Power Unit (YIPU) engine, which is based on the company's experience in developing the first electric scooters, including the Passol and EC-03 models defined over the last thirty years. The brushless electric motor is located in the center of the rear wheel. It is possible to choose between two driving modes STD ed ECO depending on conditions and needs.

As part of Yamaha's strategy for compliance with the standards linked to the Green Plan 2050 and based on the assets envisaged by the ESG (Environmental, Society, Governance) criteria, there is also the identification of partners who share the same system of values and the same vision. Santander Consumer Bank has long been an entity with which sustainability projects have been developed.
In this transformation, the commitment and collaboration between companies that share a common objective represents another concrete and functional aspect for the future transition, as reported on the occasion.
Precisely speaking of sustainability and respect for the environment, technology represents an advantage for Yamaha, given that compared to 15 years ago, a 125 cc Euro 5 example with the latest generation Blu Core engine emits approximately -30% fewer grams of CO2, according to the data indicated.
In Venice, returning to the exhibition, there is also an example of Yamaha technology applied in the Marine sector, always keeping in mind greater respect for the environment. Respite it is an elegant vessel from the Venetian shipyard Venmar, which chose the electric motor Yamaha Harmo as an ideal propeller for the waters of the area.
