Yamaha Motor Italian Branch he won the Green Prize 2018, on the occasion of the eighth edition of No Smog Mobility. The little forest designed by Yamaha

For every Tricity scooter sold, a tree was donated to the city of Milan. The small forest designed by Yamaha, in an area undergoing redevelopment, will be born after the planting which will take place next November. An average-sized tree produces around four and a half kilos of oxygen in a day and thanks to gaseous exchange it neutralizes harmful substances and helps purify the air. “We are very proud to have received this award. For us it is proof that we are working in the right direction and Treecity is only the first of a series of initiatives that we will develop and which fall within our Corporate Social Responsibility. For Yamaha, being on the road means not only offering products that can satisfy every need and that fuel the passion of our customers, but also and more generally being close to people. The ethical approach is essential for us: we know well that there is sustainability only when all the players involved win, be they customers, the environment or business partners", he has declared Andrew Colombi, country manager Yamaha Motor in Italy. The two-day Sicilian event is dedicated to sustainable mobility and the Green Prix aims, every year, to award prizes for the best eco-sustainable ideas and solutions in the automotive world. The winnings consist of trees that will be planted, alongside the 90 already present and fruit of previous editions, in the "No Smog Mobility Forest" of the university campus. Yamaha Motor will therefore also be the protagonist of the extensive "green" in the city of Palermo.
