Exclusive details

The specimens Yamaha FJR1300AS and FJR1300AE Ultimate Edition they are designed to cover long distances and motorcyclists have a high windshield and an electronically adjustable screen in a raised position, optimizing riding comfort and promoting functional protection from air flows. The handlebar and saddle can also be managed, allowing a modification of the triangulation of the elements, to meet the ergonomic needs of the rider. In the case of the Ultimate Edition the two-seater saddle, black and shaped, is decorated with golden stitching and logo FJR gold colour, as reported. Furthermore, the neuralgic components are covered with a peculiar dark paint. The color also covers the handlebars and risers, upper steering plate, fuel cap, levers, braking calipers, passenger footrest brackets and rear grab handles. Details that reinforce its sporty image and aesthetic research, such as the fairing itself which features a dedicated paint, always dark, enhancing its aerodynamic profile. Then a golden band on the back of the tank from 25 liters and three-spoke light alloy wheels, again in gold with the FJR logo, which embellish the picture, making this more refined and exclusive edition distinguishable.
Among the equally interesting aspects, the standard equipment of the Ultimate Edition includes wind deflectors. Also indicated: heated grips, 12 V socket and rigid side bags featuring a black chrome strip.

Engine and concept

The models FJR developed by the Iwata brand are powered by a forward-facing four-cylinder engine 1298 cc linked to a shaft drive with six speeds and slipper clutch. An electro-assisted shifting system without the use of the clutch is mentioned, only for the model FJR1300AS. The chassis, combined with a sports aluminum frame, includes electronically adjustable suspension and upside-down fork. Also among the solutions Yamaha D MODE, Cruise Control and TCS can be deactivated, following the instructions again.

Color and availability

Coloring suggestions Midnight Black, FJR1300AS Ultimate Edition and FJR1300AE Ultimate Edition are expected in Yamaha dealerships starting since December 2019, as reported.
