Yamaha FJR1300 MY 2016: the range goes to a higher level [PHOTO and VIDEO]

Yamaha FJR1300 MY 2016 – Yamaha launches the FJR range and takes it to an even higher level. For 2016 Yamaha introduces new features on the FJR1300A/AE/AS models that guarantee greater comfort and riding fun. To achieve these goals, the designers of Three Forks have developed a new 6-speed gearbox that ensures better acceleration and reduced rpm when traveling at high speed.

Thanks to its powerful engine and linear 1.298 cc power output, the Yamaha FJR1300 MY 2016 can cover long distances at high cruising speeds. The entire gearbox has been redesigned, while the new 6-speed gearbox is the first from Yamaha to be equipped with a separate clutch with newly developed helical gears. Compared to the current one, the new gear system is approximately 400 grams lighter and does not have larger dimensions and, furthermore, allows the powerful torque of the engine to be exploited even better, optimizing the performance of the motorbike at all speeds. The result is a more pleasant driving experience. To further characterize the Yamaha FJR1300 MY 2016, 2016 models feature a new dual headlight with LED lights. The lower part of the headlight structure contains four compact and lightweight LED headlights, with the two outer lights acting as low beam, while the two inner lights come on together with the outer lights when the high beam is switched on. In addition to the new headlight design, The 2016 models feature a completely redesigned LED rear light that accentuates the impression of three-dimensionality, mass concentration and advanced technology. The newly designed headlight unit is slightly wider than the current one and is made up of a central group of LEDs for the brake stop light. Furthermore, it is surrounded by an external outline of LEDs that make up the rear position light and each direction indicator is made up of a group of three horizontal LEDs. Thanks to the raised upper edge, this new rear light cluster increases the sporty character of the new FJRs.

In addition to the classic Dark Gray Metallic color, The 2016 FJR models will also be available in the new Matt Silver color, for a modern and refined hi-tech look, with the three tuning forks logo on the fuel tank and small logos on the bodywork.
