Yamaha EC-03, electric moped available in days

From next April 11th you will already be able to purchase online Yamaha EC-o3, the small electric scooter from the Iwata company which will be delivered starting from June. Presented at the last edition of Eicma it will cost 2.390 €, incentives (currently active only in Lombardy) excluded. This is a green proposal among many other "electric" two-wheelers, but the Yamaha EC-O3 is appreciated for its agility, ease of driving as well as offering good ideas with its engine and excellent autonomy performance.

A small and very light scooter, it barely weighs 56 chili, which is almost halfway between the power-assisted electric bicycle and the actual electric scooter. At first glance it looks a lot like the old one Hello. The EC-03 is equipped with a nice double cradle frame made of round aluminum tubes, weighing just 6 kg, compared to around 12 kg for a normal scooter frame.

Pushing the little Yamaha EC-03 is a “brushless” motor (permanent magnet) of the new generation, of the "all-in-one" type, which transmits motion directly, via gears, to the rear wheel. A technology that allows you to lose less power and increase engine life. As regards autonomy, Yamaha declares that the EC-03, with a 75 kg rider and on flat roads, is capable of doing 43 km traveling at a maximum speed of 30 km/h. To recharge it, just attach the cable placed under the saddle to a common electrical socket: it takes for a complete recharge 7 hours.
