Speakers at the inauguration were: Don Elio Cesari, Director of Don Bosco Social Works; Roberta Pizzochera, Councilor of Sesto San Giovanni; Gabriella Fumagalli, Councilor of Cinisello Balsamo; Francesco Cristinelli, Director of CNOS-FAP Sesto San Giovanni; Andrea Colombi, Country Manager Yamaha Motor Italy. The interventions were moderated by the journalist Giuseppe Polari, Sole Director of Duessegi Editore.
Don Elio Cesari underlined how the path traced by Don Bosco is constantly pursued by those who continue to be inspired by his educational method. A method that is based on innovation and a constructive relationship with local companies. The Councilors of the cities of Sesto San Giovanni and Cinisello Balsamo highlighted the importance of an educational center like that of the Salesians, always attentive to the well-being and future of young people and their families. Francesco Cristinelli outlined the potential developments that, based on the agreement with Yamaha and other Lombardy companies in the automotive sector, could take place for the Professional Training Centers of CNOS-FAP Lombardy: in addition to Sesto, Arese, Brescia, Milan and Treviglio .
The project dates back to 2019, given the growing demand for highly specialized professionals in the automotive sector, trained on the technologies that govern the motor vehicles in circulation. Even considering the pandemic period, the first results have already been obtained: two boys are on internships and two are employed permanently at the Yamaha network and another two at independent workshops.
