The Tokyo Motor Show, one of the most important Asian shows dedicated to the Automotive sector, has reached its 44th edition and Yamaha will be present to offer its fans the opportunity to attend the presentation of its new Concepts. The theme of the stand of the Tre Diapason brand will be “Resonate”. The Yamaha Motor Product Orchestra”, which suggests how the Iwata company wants to focus attention on the particular set-up and arrangement of its products.

Among the concepts that will debut as a world premiere there will be the LMW - MWT-9, Leaning Multi-Wheel, which adopts an 850 cm3 three-cylinder engine that goes well with the captivating and dynamic design. Excellent cornering performance is made possible thanks to the two front wheels, whose lean angle is at its maximum thanks to the two forks positioned on the outside. The result is a three-wheeler that can be driven with ease on different surfaces, on the most demanding mixed routes and punctuated by a series of curves in succession. Then we will be able to see the Sports Ride Concept, a four-wheel vehicle to which the classic lines of racing cars and the engaging and dynamic driving typical of motorbikes have been perfectly combined. The Concept was created with iStream, a process developed by Gordon Murray Design Limited and derived from the technologies used in F1.

Also at Tokyo 2015 we will see the Motobot Ver.1, a humanoid robot capable of driving a motorbike, built by combining Yamaha's own motorcycle and robotic technologies. The main objective of the Iwata company's Research and Development team was to create a robot that is capable of driving a production motorcycle on the track, at a speed exceeding 200 km/h. Then, the Resonator125 takes to the field, a prototype dedicated to those who have not yet experienced the thrill of two wheels. In a single model, elements of the near future are mixed, such as the innovative instrumentation, with components that recall the past such as the slim, light and compact frame. The wood grain stands out on the tank and seat cover, the same material used for the guitars produced by the house of the three tuning forks. The engravings on the muffler, fuel cap and other components were made with the complex techniques typical of brass wind instruments.

In addition to having the unique characteristics of electric vehicles, these two Concepts offer an instinctive driving sensation that will seem natural even to diehard followers of traditional engines. A new and unrepeatable experience that will not fail to exalt and increase your passion for driving. The Street Sport PES2 and Dirt Sport PED2 share Yamaha's new “Smart Power Module” drive unit and monocoque structure with chassis function. The Street Sport PES2 features a second electric motor, located in the front wheel hub, transforming it into a two-wheel drive motorcycle designed to explore new horizons. PED2, on the other hand, is the ideal partner for all those who love exploring mountain paths: thanks to the silent and clean delivery of the electric motor, this Concept adapts perfectly to the environment and allows you to fully enjoy the driving experiences in contact with the nature. The performance of both models is equivalent to that of mopeds or motorbikes from 50 to 125 cc. Finally, we remember Pes ee Ped 2, and the YPJ-MTB Concept, a pedal-assisted mountain bike equipped with an electric motor that guarantees high performance. The engine is heard only when needed during the starting, acceleration and climbing phases, but it is almost invisible thanks to the innovative design solutions that minimize its visual impact.
