Yamaha believes in and is always an active part of the events linked to the aspirational Sports Heritage panorama which combine passion with fun on two wheels, while anticipating fashions and trends. This is the case of the irreverent Deus Swank Rally, whose inaugural stage "Milano Rumble" took place yesterday in the extraordinary setting of the historic former Falck steelworks in Sesto S. Giovanni (MI). The first round of the latest innovation signed by Deus Ex Machina and sponsored by Yamaha Motor Europe, Italian branch, has in fact placed at the center of the scene the charm, elegance and refinement of the knobby Specials and vintage enduros and the originality of the "inappropriate" ones, that is motorcycles for road use specially modified to be able to race on unsuitable terrain.

The event, built on the formula of friendly competition between ribbon courses and special tests, was inaugurated with a procession of all registered vehicles starting from the Italian headquarters in Deus Ex Machina and led by the new Yamaha “Swank Rally”, an incredible experiment based on XSR900 style “SWANK RALLY” which anticipates a real Special, obviously created by Deus, which will be revealed at the fourth stage of the competition. Once they arrived at the location, one of the spaces that have made the history of Italian industry, the participants took part in the first and only urban rally hosted by an evocative abandoned industrial area which, in the coming months, will be the protagonist of the redevelopment plan “MilanoSesto”. The House of the Three Diapasons, in addition to being present on the tracks with various vehicles, welcomed the numerous guests present to its Faster Sons-style hospitality.

Upcoming DSR events will be: “The Reunion”, scheduled for May 21st at the Monza Autodromo on a classic tape, and “Wildays”, on May 27th on the hills surrounding the Autodromo di Varano de' Melegari (PR) for a classic regularity race. The location of the fourth and final stage, scheduled for September 17, which will decide the overall winner based on the results reported in previous events, is still deliberately top secret.
