X-lite X-903 Ultra Carbon: a concentration of technology

X-lite shortly before the end of 2018 he presented the helmet X-903 also in the version Ultra Carbon, with a high carbon fiber content, a full-face helmet that hides a concentration of technology and innovation, but let's see them in detail.

One of the main innovations of the helmet is certainly the innovative system Nerds, Nolan Emergency Release System. This is a mechanism, the patent for which is pending, which allows rescue personnel to remove the cheek pads from the helmet while it is worn by the motorcyclist, simply by pulling the red ribbons positioned in the front area of ​​the pads themselves. The visor is also innovative which, in addition to having a large anti-scratch surface, is moved by a mechanism with tilting functionality, whose patent is pending, allows a greater extension of the surface covered by the Pinlock visor and reduces the risk of accidental opening/closing of the visor as well as infiltration from it. The visor attachment system is also innovative, thanks to the system Magnetic Vior Assembly. The more 'classic' interiors, with entirely removable and washable padding. The internal comfort padding is made with active carbon filaments, a thermoregulatory, antistatic and dissipative element. The research also shifted to closure. It is a retention system with micrometric adjustment, double lever, patented. It is composed of an ergonomic opening lever in thermoplastic material and a second, toothed and sealing one, in aluminium. The toothed lever releases the micrometric band and it is therefore possible to open the chin strap only after the opening lever has made a very large rotation.
