WOW!: the startup's electric journey and the first two models in autumnWOW!: the startup's electric journey and the first two models in autumn

The first two specimens are expected in autumn Model 4 (L1e) to Model 6 (L3e) connected to the young Lombard startup WOW! Ltd, engaged in the sector of electric two-wheeled vehicles.

The specimens

Model 4 (L1e) e Model 6 (L3e) present a peculiar, essential and refined aesthetic, enriched by lights full LED, as well as a functional location of the batteries on the sides of the seat behind. These, 36V lithium ion (72 V total) and positioned in the rear area of the scooter, can only be removed after lifting the seat. Their capacity on Model 4 is: 32Ah / 2,2 kWh or 42Ah / 3,0 kWh or 48Ah or 3,4 kWh. While on Model 6: 42Ah / 3,0 kWh or 48Ah / 3,4 kWh.
Going back to the indications, for a complete charge useful for Model 4 it takes about 3-4 hours, while opting for Model 6 it takes 4 to 5 hours. The weights of the batteries, depending on the pack, vary from 20 to 28 kg on the first example and between 24 and 28 kg on the second. The curb weight (excluding batteries) is 93 and 95 kg respectively. Including them, the data varies depending on their capacity. For example 113 kg talking about Model 4, adding a 20 kg package; 119 kg for Model 6 with 24 kg batteries. Using 3,0 kWh batteries, the Model 4's estimated range amounts to 106,7 km, or 95,8 km considering the livelier Model 6 on the European standard cycle. Thanks to a regenerative braking system it is possible to accumulate charge during deceleration. In urban areas, still considering the indications, up to 15% energy can be saved. It is an efficient electric kinetic energy recovery system and the brake can be activated by pressing a button, as indicated.
The dimensions are also functional, quoting a length of 2007,20 millimeters, a width of 725,42 mm and a height of 1167,65 mm, excluding the mirrors. The saddle height is 785 mm. The examples, both two-seaters, have a tubular steel frame and aluminum rear, front suspension with hydraulic telescopic forks and a hydraulic mono-shock absorber at the rear. Then we highlight a hydraulic braking system with a front and rear disc, both 220 mm. On Model 6 there is also a CBS combined braking system. The instrumentation on both is digital and the wheels are from 16 inches, also thinking about driving comfort along city routes. Among the interesting aspects is also a reverse function that can be activated at low speed by a switch on the handlebar control, therefore the compartment under the front saddle which can accommodate almost 55 litres, for example two Jet helmets, accessible via an integrated electronic opening that can be controlled remotely or by remote control.

Performances

Model 4, drivable for 14 years and Model 6 for 16 years they have been animated by 3.9 kW e 4.73 kW of maximum power, expressed by a central motor with toothed belt drive. The first reaches a speed limited by law 45 Km / h, while the second can touch the 85 Km / h, taking up the information again.

A prospectus

Also reported was the entry of four new shareholders, three Italian and one German, with a capital increase of 400.000 euros. Together with this also the European approval Euro 5 of Model 4 (L1e – moped) and Model 6 (L3e – motorcycle). The debut, as mentioned, is scheduled for next autumn Italy, Belgium, France, Germany, Holland e Spain.

Proposal

Retail prices: 3.750,00 euros including VAT 22% fc for the Model 4 (3,9 kW maximum power and battery pack -2 lithium ion- 32Ah / 2,2 kWh) and 4.790,00 euros including VAT 22% fc for the Model 6 (4,73 kW maximum power and battery pack -2 lithium ion- 42Ah / 3,0 kWh), taking the information again.
