World Ducati Week 2018: a maxi gathering between past and future

Less than a month left until the tenth edition of World Ducati Week which will take place from 20 to 22 July at the Misano World Circuit "Marco Simoncelli" and which will bring together thousands of Ducatisti, coming from all over the world, to celebrate their passion for red cars from Borgo Panigale.

World Ducati Week: the event

World Ducati Week will be a concentration of events, parties, motorcycle parades and shows, with many riders who have made history in MotoGP and Superbike. With a press conference, held at the Ducati Auditorium, all the events of this tenth WDW edition were presented, both as regards the activities on the track and on the Riviera. During the event, surprisingly, Andrea Dovizioso revealed the Monster 1200 25th Anniversary, a limited series dedicated to the iconic naked from Borgo Panigale which, precisely at WDW2018, will see celebrations for this important anniversary. At WDW218 ample space will be left to Ducati motorcycles, in areas dedicated to each model, with Ducati employees and technicians available to visitors for any curiosity and questions. There are truly many activities planned at the "Monster Village" set up on the circuit: exhibitions, meetings, beauty and customization competitions, but also a special plate to apply to the motorbike, reserved for those who come to the event riding their Monster.

World Ducati Week: the races

On Friday 20 July the Flat Track Race will open the competitions with a direct elimination competition for eight riders: Andrea Dovizioso, winner of the 2016 edition, Troy Bayliss, Danilo Petrucci, Jack Miller, Michele Pirro and others will compete on Scrambler Flat Track Pro, specially prepared in race configuration. “The Race of Champions” is scheduled for Saturday 21 July, a track race that only Ducati could offer its fans. Twelve Ducati riders of today and yesterday will duel on the Misano World Circuit astride the Panigale V4 S, specially prepared in a "limited edition" with a race configuration and beautiful liveries dedicated to each individual participating rider. Free practice, qualifying and starting grid, complete with a flyover of the "Frecce Tricolori", for a unique experience that already promises to be very competitive and fun. At the start are riders of the caliber of Dovizioso, Lorenzo, Davies, Melandri, Petrucci, Miller, but also Bayliss and others, ready to challenge each other on the track to conquer the top step of the podium. Official timekeeper of “The Race Of Champions” will be Locman, prestigious licensee of a line of watches dedicated to Ducati.

World Ducati Week: unveils the Monster 25th Anniversary

The World Ducati Week will be the opportunity to present to the world the Monster 1200 25th Anniversary, produced in just 500 numbered examples, which stands out for a dedicated tricolor livery that characterizes the front fairing, tank and passenger seat cover, inspired by the Monster S4RS Testastretta Tricolore of 2008. The special livery matches perfectly with the saddle on which the 25th anniversary logo is embroidered. The bike was unveiled by Ducati Team rider Andrea Dovizioso and will have an important space in the WDW2018 paddock.
