World Ducati Week: 2018 will be a Monster edition

Ducati – The definition of the program continues World Ducati Week 2018 that, 20 from July to 22, will see thousands of motorcyclists, coming from all over the world, reach the Misano World Circuit "Marco Simoncelli" to celebrate and share the passion for Ducati.

This tenth edition of the gathering will be a further opportunity to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Monster, the naked sports car par excellence. Among the initiatives that WDW2018 dedicates to this iconic model, also the "Ducati Garage Contest", the competition that since 2002 has rewarded the most beautiful customized Ducati motorcycles created by enthusiasts from all over the world, ready to be admired in the prestigious showcase that only the WDW paddock can offer. This year the "Ducati Garage Contest" is reserved and dedicated to all "monsterists". The Monster-based specials will be evaluated during the rally by a jury made up of technicians, pilots and visitors. Inside the Misano Circuit, a real "Monster Village" will be set up, an exclusive space where it will be possible to retrace the history of the Monster through the key models that contributed to creating the icon, starting from the Monster 900 of 1993, to currently exhibited at the Ducati Museum in Borgo Panigale. Furthermore, a photographic studio will also be created for Monster fans, with an official Ducati photographer, who will document the presence of the many enthusiasts of this iconic motorcycle. The photos taken will therefore be the protagonists of the communication campaign dedicated to the celebration of this anniversary, characterized by the hashtag #welovemonster, and officially opened on the occasion of the gathering held at the end of March in Le Castellet (France).

Like every year, a guarantee of internationality and a strong spirit of belonging to the community is ensured by the 266 DOC (Desmo Owners Club), already eager to actively participate in the event. Over 35.913 members present in 59 countries in every part of the world, the DOCs are a fundamental component of the Ducati universe, which enliven the gathering with enthusiasm every two years. For this tenth edition the community is ready to celebrate with all the participants in the area dedicated to the International Village, strategically located in the center of the paddock, the true beating heart of desmodromic passion.
