World Ducati Week 2018: races and entertainment to set Misano on fire

There are just over three days left until the official start of World Ducati Week 2018, the event that every year brings together thousands of fans of the Borgo Panigale red bike in Misano. Also for this edition there are many activities, on the track, in the paddock and off the circuit.

World Ducati Week 2018: the event

The World Ducati Week is nothing more than three days in which to meet the Ducati champions of yesterday and today of the MotoGP and Superbike championships, discover the 2018 Ducati range, participate in the DRE Academy riding courses (test rides of the new models of the 2018 range) and immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the Scrambler Land of Joy. World Ducati Week is all this and much more. From Friday to Sunday, on the circuit and on the Romagna Riviera, it is possible to attend exciting and unique shows thanks to the acrobatics of professional stuntmen and the challenges between the Ducati champions.

World Ducati Week 2018: The Race of Champions

The central event of the event will be “The Race of Champions”. On Saturday 21 July the Ducati riders will become the protagonists of an exciting challenge astride the Panigale V4 S, specially prepared in a "limited edition" with race configuration. An exciting show for all spectators, thanks also to an acrobatic flyover of the Frecce Tricolori over the starting grid shortly before the race. There will be twelve riders taking part in the unprecedented challenge: MotoGP and Superbike champions such as Andrea Dovizioso, Jorge Lorenzo, Danilo Petrucci, Jack Miller, Chaz Davies and Marco Melandri, but also champions who have made Ducati history such as Troy Bayliss.

World Ducati Week 2018: party for Monster's 25th anniversary

This tenth edition of the rally will be a further opportunity to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Monster, the naked sports car par excellence of which an exclusive version will be presented, characterized by the tricolor livery. Among the initiatives that WDW2018 dedicates to this iconic model, also the Ducati Garage Contest, the competition that since 2002 has rewarded the most beautiful customized Ducati motorcycles created by enthusiasts from all over the world, ready to be admired in the prestigious showcase that only the paddock of WDW can deliver. This year the "Ducati Garage Contest" is reserved and dedicated to all monster enthusiasts. The Monster-based specials will be evaluated during the rally by a jury made up of technicians, drivers and visitors.

World Ducati Week 2018 is also entertainment

The rich evening program that will enliven the "off-circuit" of WDW2018 has also been defined. which begins as early as Friday 20th July with the long and colorful parade of Ducati motorbikes which, starting from the Misano “Marco Simoncelli” international circuit at 19.45pm, will reach the Rimini seafront where a nice “rustida” will take place for all the participants, based of piadina and sardines, followed by the “Scrambler Beach Party” with music provided by Virgin Radio and DJ Ringo. For Saturday evening, a moment of entertainment and meeting of Ducati riders and management with the Riviera public, confirmation also arrived of the presence of Nina Zilli, with an exclusive concert, free and accessible to all. The live performance of the Italian singer-songwriter will be the highlight of an already exciting and engaging evening which takes the name of "Sound of Passion Night". Starting from 21.30 pm, Piazzale Roma in Riccione will be colored red to host the presentation of the Ducati riders, hosted by Linus and animated by the pure musical energy of the DJ set by Radio Deejay and the Street Clerks, to then conclude with the concert of the Zilli.
