World Ducati Week 2016 – TIM is the main sponsor of World Ducati Week 2016, the global gathering of all Ducati fans held at the Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli” now in its ninth edition and scheduled for 1 to 3 July. The initiative confirms TIM's bond with the Borgo Panigale team of which it has been the official sponsor since 2004 in MotoGP.

This year the World Ducati Week will open with the new Flat Track Race by TIM, which will see Andrea Dovizioso, Davide Giugliano, Troy Bayliss, Danilo Petrucci, Yonny Hernandez, Alessandro Valia, Leandro Denis Mercado and Ruben new Scrambler Flat Track Pro for a spectacular comparison on the Misano Arena track. The challenge will take place on a 1 kilometer long track, where the pilots will perform drifts and duels promising fun and entertainment. Various activities are planned at the TIM stand - located in the central area of ​​the paddock -, where Ducati fans can meet the official MotoGP riders, have their photos taken on Dovizioso's Desmosedici GP and near the Scrambler Flat Track Pro winner of the race in Friday 1 July. In particular, the first 50 Ducati fans who activate the TIM Smart Fibra, TIM Smartphone Special Edition and TIM Young&Music offers at the TIM stand will be able to choose between the possibility of experiencing the thrill of a lap of the track on the TwoSeater with a test rider from the Ducati team , or test ride the latest Ducati models, meet Casey Stoner and the other legends of the Ducati world or gain access to a reserved area of ​​the Piero Pelù concert which will be held on Saturday evening 2 July at World Ducati Week.

Furthermore, TIM is present at World Ducati Week 2016 with a stand dedicated to TIM #guardaavanti, the initiative promoted by TIM and Ducati to raise young people's awareness of the correct use of mobile phones while driving. The riders Dovizioso and Iannone, testimonials of the campaign, will meet visitors to the stand testing themselves with 360° immersive viewers and eye tracking totems, cutting-edge technologies capable of involving participants in never diverting their attention while riding a motorbike. This year TIM #guardaavanti involved, throughout the national territory, over 3.000 students from five cities (Padua, Bologna, Bari, Naples and Rome) who committed themselves in the streets and squares of their cities to attracting the attention of citizens on road safety issues.
