World Ducati Week 2016: the invasion of the Romagna Riviera is ready

World Ducati Week 2016 – A few more days and the ninth edition of the World Ducati Week will liven up the Romagna Riviera and the Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli”. From 1 to 3 July there will be thousands of Ducatisti, coming from all over the world, ready to celebrate the passion for the "Rosse di Borgo Panigale". In 2014 there were around 65.000, this year attendance could even surpass the record of the previous edition and replicate the peaceful invasion that colors some of the most beautiful and renowned locations in Romagna red.

The great 2016 Ducatista gathering coincides with the culmination of the celebrations for the 90th anniversary of the Borgo Panigale company, which reopens the Museum on the occasion of the gathering after a major renovation that lasted a few months. At WDW2016 there is a packed program of events, parties, motorbike parade, shows, concerts and races on the track with the Ducati MotoGP and Superbike riders, together with the great champions of yesterday who wrote fundamental pages in the history of the "Reds of Borgo Panigale”. Not just happenings, but also attention to sustainable management. An important commitment for Ducati and for its great gathering, which received the ISO 20121 certification for the Sustainable Event Management System. WDW2016 is the first example of a certified sustainable event in the two-wheel sector. This certification, which is part of the sustainability policy adopted by the Bolognese company, already holder of the ISO 14001 certification, guarantees that the organization of WDW2016 is carried out also considering environmental, social and economic aspects.

The title of WDW2016 is "More than Red", meaning strong roots in the world of sports motorcycles, but also new models for new segments. Like the XDiavel, the Ducati neo cruiser, the Multistrada 1200 Enduro and the new Scrambler Sixty2. There will also be space for the Multistrada 1200 Enduro, protagonist of the DRE Enduro, the new Ducati driving school for off-road and which will be available in a nutshell at WDW2016. The Multistrada 1200 Enduro is also the protagonist of Globetrotter 90, the symbolic motorcycle tour around the world to celebrate Ducati's ninetieth birthday by retracing the places where the most significant pages of its history were written. TOThen at WDW2016 there is the fun Scrambler world and its unmistakable "yellow area" with the brand new Scrambler Sixty2 and Scrambler Flat Track Pro ready to welcome the first Scrambler Reunion. As a gift for all the Ducatisti present, two absolute previews are also planned at World Ducati Week 2016: the unveil (Saturday evening) of a special limited edition dedicated to Ducati's 90th birthday, and also a closed room that allows a preview of a new model from the 2017 Ducati range and which, as an absolute preview, can be admired by participants at WDW2016.

The WDW2016 partners are prestigious and have decided to be an active part of the event. Strategic partners for Ducati such as TIM which, in addition to guaranteeing WIFI coverage during WDW, will have its own commercial stand and will be present with an area reserved for the 'Guarda Avanti' project to raise awareness among the participants of the rally on the risks of improper use of the cell phone while driving. Shell Advance, technical partner of Casadi Borgo Panigale, is also 'Title Sponsor' of the highly anticipated acceleration race scheduled for Saturday, the "Drag Race by Shell Advance". Shell will have its own dedicated area where it will entertain the public with entertainment and DJ sets.
