World Ducati Week 2016: preparations continue for the big event

World Ducati Week 2016 – The 9th edition of the World Ducati Week, the global gathering dedicated to the Borgo Panigale Reds, which takes place from 1 to 3 July 2016 at the “Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli”, is inexorably arriving. This year's WDW is the opportunity to celebrate 90 years since the birth of Ducati. The pre-sale has already started and all over the world the "red fever" is unleashing the rush to secure passes and entrance tickets.

These are the various entry and pass options for World Ducati Week 2016:

3 day pass (1/2/3 July)
Biker pass €95 and visitor/passenger pass €65 (full fare)
Biker pass €70 and visitor/passenger pass €55 (reduced rate only with purchase from Ducati dealers
Biker pass €45 and visitor/passenger pass €45 for DOC members (rate reserved for Desmo Owners Club members and can only be purchased at official Ducati clubs)

There are so many initiatives and activities planned for the great Ducati gathering. Between these, there is the first edition of the Ducati International Bikers Games, basically the first "motorcycle Olympics" dedicated to the thousands of enthusiasts and fans who will attend WDW2016. This is an elimination tournament which sees 8 teams made up of Ducatisti from all over the world competing in tests of all kinds: from the "slow motion" competition on a motorbike, to the precision braking test as well as mounting/dismounting challenges ( assemble and disassemble an engine in the shortest time possible) and then quizzes and other surprises that will involve the participating teams. World Ducati Week 2016 is also the stage for on-track performances by the most famous stuntmen in the motorcycle world. Names like Emilio Zamora, who "signs" choreographies on the Ducati that are now legendary for fans of the Reds of Borgo Panigale. Also performing with him in this ninth edition of the Ducati rally are Victor Chelenkov, Jeremy Vonk and Michael Threin who boast international fame in the world of stunt shows.

As always there will be the Ducati Garage Contest which since World Ducati Week 2002 rewards the most beautiful Ducati specials created by non-professional customizers from all over the world. For the entire duration of WDW2016, participants also have the opportunity to use the SuMisura service (www.ducatisumeasure.com). This is a special service dedicated to the most demanding and attentive motorcyclists.
