WDW2016 – Completely renovated to celebrate the 90th anniversary of Ducati, the Borgo Panigale Museum opens its doors as a preview only for participants in the World Ducati Week 2016, the global Ducati gathering scheduled from 1 to 3 July at the Misano World Circuit “ Marco Simoncelli”. From 29 June to 5 July are the dates reserved for WDW2016 participants to visit the renovated Ducati Museum, an unmissable stop for the thousands of enthusiasts heading to or returning from Misano.

Housed inside the Borgo Panigale factory and inaugurated in 1998, the Ducati Museum, after the recent and important renovation that lasted a few months, reopens with a new concept: each motorcycle on display is a work of art, a story told with a language made of shapes and colors and emphasized by dedicated installations. As it was conceived 18 years ago, the Museum showcased Ducati history with a vision exclusively aimed at the world of racing. In its new guise, however, it first dedicates an entire area to some of the most iconic road bikes that have made the history of the Company great. And it is here that the so-called "mass product" is told in its entirety, that is, as a project conceived and developed in very specific technological, economic and social contexts. Hence the new narrative proposed by the Museum, which is divided along three different paths: the history of production Ducati motorbikes and the socio-cultural context in which they are inserted, the history of racing through the exhibition of racing motorbikes and the trophies won and a final journey recounting the 'Ducati moments', that is, facts, people, technological innovations that have made Ducati history, and the 'Ducati heroes' who are Ducati's riders, its heroes.

The area dedicated to series products hosts, divided into four rooms, 27 motorcycles, 15 of which have never been exhibited before. In each room the motorbikes are accompanied by the relevant technical data sheets, those of the individual components on display, and the artistic installation that emphasizes the product. An example for everyone: the structure of the DNA compared to the Ducati 916 represents the founding values ​​of the Ducati brand, summarized for the first time in the history of Ducati by Massimo Tamburini's masterpiece.
