Wasp has had and continues to have a strong connection with the international musical panorama and there are various testimonies that tell of this harmony: from the musical movements in England in the 60s, through the concept album Quadrophenia by the Who or the musical Absolute Beginners by Julien Temple with David Bowie and Patsy Kensit. A story that continued in the more recent period and precisely in the 90s with the Italian success of 50 Special by Lunapop and even today where creativity literally takes shape with the special Justin Bieber X Vespa creation shown recently. Just thinking about this bond and celebrating the 76 years di Wasp, Piaggio Museum of Pontedera from April 24th to next October an exhibition is planned #VespaSoundsCool which tells about this partnership. Among the initiatives, always remembering the 76 years of Vespa, the 23 e 24th April The event is scheduled for Pontedera Vespa Day.

In celebrating the 76 anniversary, Vespa club of Pontedera organizes an event inaugurated on Saturday 23th April with the arrival of several enthusiasts from various parts of Europe in Piazza Martiri della Libertà, kicking off the gathering with the display of historic Vespa examples. In the afternoon there will be an "elegance competition" embellished with interesting vintage models. The #VespaSoundsCool exhibition

The appointment at Piaggio Museum allows us to understand how the paths of Vespa and various musical artists have crossed over the years.
Through the research and collaboration of a media partner such as MTV, Paramount's reality broadcast on Sky, a rich selection of video clips is planned where the Vespa is the protagonist together with names and groups of national and international music such as: Black Eyed Peas, David Bowie , Depeche Mode, Elisa, Gwen Stefani, Jovanotti and Lunapop.

In the spaces, also visible via a virtual tour on the Piaggio Museum portal, we await extraordinary examples of this union between Vespa and music, such as rare vinyls in which the Vespa is present on the cover and which can be listened to thanks to interactive stations and a juke box vintage.
Also highlighted is a selection of precious musical-themed objects linked to a private collection dedicated to Andy Warhol, flanked by five historic Vespa models selected from the most representative, to further underline the link with musical art.
