Who says that Vespa should only be a symbol of the "classic"? Or rather, it's true, Vespa is THE classic, an eternal scooter, the result of a daring project that has become a status, an icon on two wheels, that no one will ever tire of reiterating. But this symbol of Italianness has always evolved, keeping up with the times impeccably. And clear demonstration comes from new Vespa 300 GTS and GTS Super, which the Piaggio Group defines as the largest, most powerful and technologically advanced Vespa ever built. Let's try to see why.

The new Vespa GTS were born with the intention of increase safety, comfort and technological contribution also integrating a greater propensity for tourism, as well as the usual, indissoluble city vocation. These Vespas are safer: Two-channel ABS with double disc braking system and 12 inch wheels. It takes advantage of the anti-lock sensors, the system ASR traction control to prevent skidding and avoid losing control of the vehicle. Already adopted on the Vespa Sprint, the GTS also sees the new front suspension with the completely redesigned classic single-sided arm (ESS) capable of halving sliding friction, increasing ride comfort.

Vespa GTS has been revised to be more welcoming and protective, and combined with increased safety it also allows for trips of a certain importance. Situation in which you can count on the new saddle with new padding and covering. The look is also new, with the white thread finish that surrounds its edge.

And speaking of looks, let's talk about the new instrumentation trapezoidal in shape, which turns red when illuminated, and the front suspension spring is also in the same color. The new rims are black instead. The LEDs are inevitable to perform the function of daytime running lights. In support of the renewed instrumentation, the innovative VMP (Vespa Multimedia Platform): by connecting a Smartphone to the on-board electronic system, the latter is transformed into a multifunction on-board computer, which is capable of providing an incredible amount of information to the driver both regarding the status of the vehicle and the route taken. To easily keep always under control, thanks to the smartphone touchscreen, all the driving parameters and tackle both metropolitan journeys and longer journeys in total safety.

But a fundamental part of the Vespa GTS is also the advanced and high-performance single-cylinder 4-stroke, 4-valve, liquid-cooled engine with electronic fuel injection. 300cc capable of 22 HP. For holders of a B license only, it is also available with a 125 cc engine.

Vulcano Black, Midnight Blue and Dolomiti Grey it is Vespa GTS 300, more elegant than the GTS 300 Super version sold in brighter colours Lucido Black, Montebianco, Dragon Red and Gaiola Blue. All the new GTSs are already available at prices starting from 4.800 euros for the Vespa GTS Super 125, up to 5.580 euros for the Vespa GTS Super ABS-ASR.
