Vespa Elettrica: Italian design and zero emissions

Electric Vespa – At the center of the spotlight of the latest edition of EICMA, there was the world of electric. Many models exploded during the Milanese event, but among them all one deserves further investigation: the Electric Vespa, the new scooter synthesis of an emblem of Italian design and green technology.

Vespa Elettrica: the characteristics

There is one pushing the Vespa Elettrica power units capable of providing a power continuous torque of 3,5 kW (peak power is 4 kW) and a wheel torque of 200 Nm, values ​​that allow the model to have performance that is clearly superior to that of a 50 cc scooter with a combustion engine, especially in terms of acceleration and uphill acceleration (all without making any noise). Vespa Elettrica guarantees a maximum autonomy of up to 100 km, thanks also to the efficient kinetic energy recovery system (KERS), which recharges it during deceleration phases. The lithium ion battery is charged thanks to the cable located in the compartment under the saddle and can be connected to a normal electrical socket or to the charging stations found in cities. There recharge complete occurs in four hours. The battery guarantees excellent efficiency up to 1.000 complete charging cycles, i.e. between 50.000 and 70.000 km travelled. Once a thousand cycles have been exceeded, the battery retains 80% of its capacity and remains perfectly usable.

That's not enough, Vespa Elettrica also has it two driving modes: Eco (with speed limited to 30 km/h and more progressive acceleration) and Power, to which the Reverse mode is added, a reverse gear that can be engaged during manoeuvres. The scooter is equipped with the exclusive Vespa Mia system, the multimedia system that allows you to connect your smartphone to the vehicle, which can be managed through a man-machine interface that incorporates digital instrumentation with a 4,3-inch color TFT display, always easy to read thanks to the twilight sensor which adapts the background and color of the characters depending on the light conditions detected (day/night mode) and the possibility of adjusting the brightness on 4 levels. Vespa Elettrica will be offered in the main countries of the Eurozone at the price of 6.390 euros and with a very long list of accessories to make it the ideal vehicle for your needs.
