Vectrix VT-1, the electrically practical scooter

It has interchangeable batteries, for an autonomy of 90 to 180 km

Vectrix VT-1 is the new electric scooter from the American company, it was presented at Eicma last November and should be marketed from July 2014 at a price of 7.500 €.
Vectrix, the first manufacturer to offer an electric scooter to the public, now presents this practical VT-1, positioning it in the 125 scooter segment resulting in the possibility of driving with B license. VT-1 is propelled by a 12 kW liquid-cooled engine with planetary gear transmission which allows the new Vectrix scooter to travel at a speed of 100 km/h. Obviously it is equipped with braking energy recovery and reverse gear.

Accumulators are lithium 28 Ah, consequently an autonomy of approximately 90 km. There are two batteries, both housed under the platform. However, thanks to the inclusion of a third battery in the underseat compartment and a fourth in the central tunnel, it is possible to extend the autonomy up to 180 km, a sort of “range extender” in short. To charge from the normal home socket you need approximately 3/4 hours reaching a charge percentage of 85%; possibly useful external dock to which the batteries can be connected by removing them from the scooter, a sort of "distributor" on which to place the discharged batteries, taking the ready-to-use charged ones. This charger dock comes as optional at 500 euros.

The headlights are built with LED technology, the instrumentation is great touch display with indications of charge, speed, battery status etc... The possibility of being very useful connected to a smartphone thus being able to have a myriad of services including geolocation. Different driving modes are also available depending on the behavior you want to adopt. The Vectrix VT-1 features 16-inch wheels, disc brakes and Abs. The weight is around 170 kg with the two standard batteries. It should be noted that the transmission and gearbox are maintenance-free. The Vectrix VT-1 can be equipped for transport and delivery functions.
