Jorge Lorenzo's victory at the MotoGP of Catalunya brings with it some reflections on what could be considered the most popular motorcycling rumor in the last historical period: I am referring - you will have understood - to the increasingly concrete indiscretion of a passage by Valentino Rossi from the Yamaha team at the Ducati Corse garage.

And Lorenzo? It's easy to say: the Spanish champion, born in 1987, who has won five races in the 2010 world championship, could prove to be an uncomfortable teammate. Add to that the fact that the team could monopolize the world championship, with a similar attacking team, and the question takes on a completely different flavour: it is impossible to sacrifice one performance, let's say that of a Rossi who returns disadvantaged from an injury, to favor the let's suppose another is that of a Lorenzo who is blossoming just now, with overwhelming strength.

Vale's move to the red MotoGP team would have a different light: a way to throw himself back into the fray, an attempt to come back into vogue, after the halo - the injury - that has anointed the glittering figure of the Italian champion. Furthermore, if Valentino arrived at Ducati, he would have the opportunity to chase the dream of three different bikes, three different brands, with which to have won the world championship.

But what about the fact that, perhaps, the bike that would remain in Lorenzo's hands would largely be the result of Valentino's technical knowledge? And what about the spectacle that would arise, the clash of two very important pawns - almost the most important - of today's motorcycle scene, on two colors so distant?
