Urban Award, ANCMA: 30 bicycles to the city of Parma [PHOTO]

Last November Parma was awarded the 2020 edition of theUrban Awards, a contest created by Ludovica Casellati and organized with Anci (National Association of Italian Municipalities) which rewards the best projects related to cycling and sustainable mobility developed by municipal administrations. Just over seven months later, the city, Italian Capital of Culture 2021, received as a prize the endowment up for grabs of 30 bicycles proposed by a consortium of four companies associated with Confindustria ANCMA (National Association of Cycle and Motorcycle Accessories), as mentioned.

The news

The director of the association's cycle sector Piero Nigrelli delivered the bicycles developed for theUrban Awards and made by the Sicilian company Cicli Lombardo, together with the component manufacturers RMS, Selle Royal and Vittoria.

Present were the mayor Federico Pizzarotti and the councilor for sustainability Tiziana Benassi. The endowment will be used by the employees of the Municipality itself for travel between the municipal offices and also by local associations in their respective proximity and volunteering activities, by schools and companies that have distinguished themselves in their home-work and home-school travel plans and for other activities, as reported.
