TWO STROKE IS BACK – For the 2016 season the non-competitive event “TWO STROKE IS BACK!” will take place on the “Riccardo Paletti” circuit in Varano de' Melegari (PR), doubling the offer. On 4-5 June 2016 the Parma circuit will see exclusively two-stroke engines take to the track with the partnership of Magigas.

It will not only be a racing day, but also and above all an opportunity to meet the champions, with great technicians, market exhibitions and dedicated track tests. The event on the track will include, in addition to exclusive free practice, also and above all a global two-stroke motorcycle exhibition: from the 50 GP to the 750, but also the sports productions that made the champions of the latest Italian generation great, the Specials made on the basis of Suzuki Gamma, Yamaha RD, without neglecting the small artisans such as Pattoni, Gnani, Verona, Arletti, Polverelli who started from personal projects to create their jewels.

The date of June 5th was chosen precisely because it is free from racing commitments of the CIV, Italian Cup and Classic Era. Entrance to the paddock will be free and open. The pre-sale of the free trials (package of 8 sessions of 30 minutes each) is 240 euros and, after that date, until seats are filled, the price will be 280 euros. Possibility of garage space at the price of 10 euros per motorbike. For adults, a driving license is sufficient, but it is advisable to get an FMI Sport card to have insurance coverage. Even minors in possession of a 2016 FMI Racing License will be able to take to the track.

The idea is, once again, simple, that is, to offer the possibility of racing on international level tracks with an accessible purchase budget (starting from 1500 euros for a motorbike), in a competitive environment that is open to all, to sign of sport and entertainment. The 125 SP will be divided into Open and Stock classes, to facilitate the participation of riders and vehicles from the most disparate technical contexts, such as uphill races, Motoestate Trophy, Moto Varano Trophy, etc. The 125 SP will join the already large IGP grid, with around 30 drivers, a third of which are international, lining up together with the 125 GP and 250 SP and GP with separate classification and awards.

Having taken the first steps in the 125 SP, the next "step" is naturally the 125 GP where, with a slightly greater economic expense, the rider can try his hand at more "lively" bikes, around 45hp for 70 kilos of weight, capable of giving even stronger emotions. TO in this regard, the "Grand Prix Academy" project was born, which will offer sports scholarships to the most deserving riders, aged no more than 16 years old, also selected on the basis of their palmares in miniGP and preMoto3. Up for grabs are two Honda 125 GPs, as well as financial and technical support with riders (or former riders) in the pits and on the track.
