Tucano Urbano Good Wheels: a new collection developed with recycled polyester

Good Wheels represents a new development for the brand Tucano Urbano, which offers enthusiasts who love traveling on two wheels, even during the cold seasons, a mini capsule developed with recycled polyester.

Towards more sustainable development

A new perspective launched by the Milanese brand in a world increasingly interested in the well-being of the environment, within a path aimed towards increasingly sustainable production, starting from the very way of designing, defining and packaging the products, as suggested.

The icon Good Wheels will indicate a creation developed with fabrics deriving from the recycling of plastic bottles and the recycling of nylon materials and also signals the choice to use packaging reduced to a minimum and made with recycled and recyclable materials. Among the interesting aspects is also the choice to carry out eco-sustainable textile finishings and Water Resistant treatments, further strengthening the commitment to the development of products capable of lasting over time or possibly being repaired.

The three new 100% waterproof and breathable winter outerwear, which Tucano Urbano has developed with polyester derived from the recycling of around 30 plastic bottles, are: the medium-cut men's jacket ORBIS (249,90 euros), the parka for a male audience HILL (269,90 euros) and the one intended for the female audience STELLA (269,90 euro).

These are CE motorcycle certified garments with interesting characteristics typical of Tucano Urbano jackets in terms of comfort, versatility and protection: 10.000 mm of water column for 5000 g of breathability. By detaching the thermal interior, they are also functional during the mid-seasons.
An innovative aspect on the safety front, considering aesthetics and protection, is the provision of light and ventilated CPS AEROSOFT protectors on the shoulders and elbows. Furthermore, you can add a back protector and further increase safety.

The glove also appears in the Good Wheels motorcycle and scooter line GLOBIS made with polyester derived from the recycling of at least one plastic bottle, which can be combined with the ORBIS jacket.

For fans of two-wheeled pedals

The new MAGIC PARKA 2IN1 (269,00 euros), also offered in Lady version, is an evolution of the model that obtained the GOLD EUROBIKE AWARD in 2017, now also developed keeping in mind environmental sustainability and the safety of those who travel by bicycle. Preserving the distinctive features of the garment, such as the versatility of use that allows it to be transformed from a parka into a rainproof bicycle cape-leg cover, the new MAGIC PARKA 2IN1 is developed in polyester deriving from the recycling of plastic bottles.

Furthermore, given the brand's many years of experience and proven knowledge of motorized two-wheelers, it is the first CE certified bike jacket. The MAGIC PARKA 2IN1 garment has been subjected to all the tests necessary for CE Certification by an external certifying body and can be considered personal protective equipment (PPE). While not mandatory for recognition as PPE, it also has pockets for elbow, shoulder and back protection.
