Tucano Urbano: from the workshops to the street, here is the spring-summer 2018 collection

Tucano Urbano unveiled the spring-summer 2018 collection this morning in the suggestive location of Officine Riunite Milanesi. A spectacular setting, in which the metal of a real mechanical workshop, disused until recently and then recovered to create a fashion venue by Raffaello Polchi, combines with the fabrics and technology of the Tucano Urbano brand.

It is the "urban specialist" spirit that has guided the new collection characterized by a careful look at the world of café racers, so fashionable now. To the already known jacket Pel, the perforated leather jacket is added Tom and the bomber jacket Bred with fabric details and very practical inserts. All garments have shoulder, elbow and back pocket protectors. In short, 360 degree garments to be used on motorbikes and beyond. The glove Gig, made of cowhide, has been improved and becomes GigPro and now has CE approval. They arrive alongside him Bob, with a new look with a vintage look, and Bob Lady e Bob Skin Lady. Among the main innovations are the summer mesh jackets: Mr. e Mrs., in leather and Oxford fabric, with a completely waterproof detachable internal membrane to guarantee maximum dryness even in case of rain. Added to this pair is Network and Network Vest in mesh and Oxford fabric, equipped with every protection, but with an entry level price (119,00 euros). The third chapter is that of waxed cotton, with a retro flavor but revised and available in two garments: the already well-known jacket Pol now also in khaki color, and the new one Robert, a four pocket bag with a rear gusset which makes it very comfortable for motorcycle use. The gloves come in combination New Squid e Squid, with semi-rigid knuckle protection, neoprene cuff and a mix of leather and fabric.

The world of waterproof has a prominent place: Aeros e Areas (men's and women's versions) become 100% waterproof, but now equipped with an effective ventilation system and many new aesthetic details to combine practicality and elegance. Gloves salamander in neoprene with reflective salamander al Torpedo (a 12 month glove made with OutDry technology which waterproofs garments by allowing the waterproof membrane to be inserted directly into the fabric, to the full advantage of lightness and grip on the controls) cuts across all price ranges and needs. The glove Pen it is a simple product with rigid knuckle, CE approved and ventilation system. The family Micky, the approved entry level, comes in versions for men, women and now also children. Then there are the helmets. Helmet ed El'Jet, the fiberglass helmet with two shells and double visor, is renewed after the great public success of the 2017 version. In 2018 El'Jet is enriched with three new racing collection liveries, in German silver, Italian red and British racing green . In addition to the colors, the interior details stand out, such as the red of the German racing cars or the interior leather. El Mettin, the demi-jet, is a real trend and now it is revived with a palette of sober but absolutely trendy colours.

The collection ends with two real “toucanates”: Cool Fresh Seat Cover now also available for long saddles for enduros and perfect for long distances and Passenger, perfect for models that have a passenger seat separate from the rider's. The second toucanata is the Helmet protector Nano which becomes smaller, waterproof but also very small and perfect for anchoring the helmet to the motorbike via the chain, preventing any dirt residues from damaging the helmet. Last but not least there is key bag, the ultimate key ring that can hold motorcycle, garage, home keys and even a cash card.
