KTM Enduro Trophy 2020: another intense round in Villagrande di Montecopiolo [PHOTO]

Second match of the season

Over 200 contenders in the second of the four scheduled matches of KTM Enduro Trophy 2020. Match played on Sunday 20 September at Villagrande di Montecopiolo (PU), location selected by MC Acerboli for the new off-road challenge.

The outcome

Over three laps with a few meters of asphalt, two special tests were highlighted with departure and arrival in the former ski facilities which have become interesting action theaters for mountain bike and enduro enthusiasts.
Two hours and 15 minutes per lap arranged by the Track inspector Giò Sala and the aforementioned special stages timed using transponders, with the sharing of data online, as reported.
There were two unforeseen events, starting with the presence of wasps attracted by the brightly colored clothes of the trophy riders who suggested to the staff to cut off a stretch of the route and then, around midday, a summer storm over Villagrande.
In different classes, taking up the list released, the following prevailed: Nicolò Lolli (125), Fabio Longo (250 2T), Nicolas Segnacasi (300), Giovanni Zoso (250 4T), Michele Cobuzzi (450). In Top Class and in the Absolute success for Mattia Capuzzo. Among the Ladies, Elisa Givonetti won, while Marco Gorrieri triumphed in the Iron category. In Super Iron victory for Giancarlo Lenzotti, who also won the Nanni Tamiatto MOTOREX Challenge. Then successes in the Veteran for Ilario Ricci, in the Revival for Eugenio Sala and in the Vintage for Andrea Rastrelli.
In the Freeride group, triumph for Bonfiglio Mazzanti, while Francesco Puocci stands out among the Bicilindriche. At the top among the guests in 2T Mirko Casoni and in 4T Simone Poloni. Finally moving on to the formations, Team Cico triumphed among the dealership teams and among the clubs the AMX grouping.
The Airoh and Alpinestars contests, awards collateral to the event, were also awarded to Villagrande.

The event and the seasonal continuation

A great welcome was reported on site, whilst respecting the measures to combat contagion with an online briefing on Saturday evening and the use of social pages for communications.
The event in the Marche region represents the mid-season balance in this year conditioned by the pandemic. The next two tests are scheduled for next month, with the first of the two remaining events scheduled for Anghiari (AR) the 4 October, then the ending a Bibione.
